Waterborne Armed Threat Emergency Response (WATER) Course
The Waterborne Armed Threat Emergency Response (WATER) Course, provides officers with the knowledge and skills necessary to increase their chances of surviving a violent or deadly force encounter in the maritime environment. A key element of this course will be the preparation of participants to become proficient in waterborne firearms marksmanship, the use of cover and concealment aboard a vessel, proper vessel positioning, and officer(s) movement, shooting positions aboard a vessel, downed officer rescue and disengagement from a vessel, and medical aid techniques aboard a vessel.
