Policy

NASBLA is an organization that works on boating safety and security laws at all levels of government, from local state offices (Statehouse) up to the federal level (White House).

What NASBLA Does:

  1. Monitors and Influences Laws: They don't just watch what new regulations and laws are being developed; they actively step in to help create and shape those rules.

  2. Harmonization: Their main goal is to make sure that boating laws and safety standards are consistent and uniform across every state in the country. They achieve this by writing proposed policies and suggested laws (model acts) that states can adopt.

In short: NASBLA tracks boating laws and works to make sure those laws are standardized and effective across the nation.
