The following vessels must be titled in Rhode Island: • All boats larger than fourteen (14) feet in length. Note: This mandate applies regardless of the vessel's propulsion method or its original year of manufacture.
Transaction Documentation Requirements
• New Vessels: Requires a dealer bill of sale paired alongside a completed Manufacturer's Certificate of Origin (MSO). • Used Vessels: Requires a notarized bill of sale combined with the preceding certificate of title, properly signed and notarized by the seller.
