The
National Association of State Boating Law Administrators (NASBLA), a national nonprofit, 501(c)3 organization that works to develop public policy for recreational boating safety, has released its
2022 Annual Report. The report covers a variety of accomplishments achieved by NASBLA and its members, stemming from NASBLA policy committees, grant projects, annual events, national awards and more. NASBLA represents the recreational boating authorities of all 50 states and the U.S. territories.
“Although this report represents only a snapshot of this year’s key activities, it also reflects the next volume in a story that has been unfolding for more than 60 years. As we stand on the shoulders of and honor the contributions of those who have gone before, we recognize the imperative of continuing and extending the trajectory of this association’s historical accomplishments,” said John Johnson, NASBLA Chief Executive Officer.Some of the top achievements highlighted in this report include resuming in-person events following the COVID-19 pandemic, developing the Investigative Training for Boating Incidents Standard, adopting the Basic Boating Knowledge - Core Standard and the Basic Boating
