Maine names new Boating Law Administrator
Lt. Jason Luce
The National Association of State Boating Law Administrators (NASBLA) welcomes Lieutenant Jason Luce, the new Boating Law Administrator (BLA) for the state of Maine.

Lieutenant Jason Luce was hired by the Maine Warden Service as a District Warden in 1999. At this time, he was assigned to the Sebago Lake District. Lt. Luce patrolled Sebago Lake and the surrounding towns until 2007 when he was promoted to Investigator. As an investigator, Lt. Luce was assigned to the southern region of the state and assisted with major case investigations.

In 2013, Lt. Luce was promoted to Sergeant and supervised game wardens in the Lakes Region area in one of the busiest, most populated areas of the state. In 2016, he became the states assistant boating law administrator to Lieutenant Adam Gormely.

In 2020, he was promoted to Lieutenant and assigned to the Greenville/Moosehead Lake area. In March of 2021, Lt. Luce transferred to the Sebago Lake area when Lieutenant Gormely retired. Lt. Luce lives in the town of Sebago with his wife, Michelle, of 26 years and his daughters, Helena and Maggie. Lt. Luce can be reached by email at Jason.Luce@maine.gov.
