The purpose of the Southern Caucus is to promote uniformity in boating laws; serve as a regional forum for exchanging perspectives and experiences on boating and boating safety; foster interstate cooperation on mutual problems; and facilitate state-federal relationships in order to promote the safe, pleasant and compatible use of the waters in member states.
